In 1983, Watered Garden Mission began as a gathering of four women with physical disabilities seeking information exchange. This group has since grown, fostering confidence through shared experiences, raising funds through various activities, and organizing a range of classes and events for people with disabilities.
Every Saturday, through classes and prayers, we are empowering the community so that people with disabilities can live with confidence.
I felt awkward at first because I didn't know how to interact with my friends with disabilities. However, all friends I met at here were incredibly kind, pure-hearted, and treated everyone with love. Without realizing it, my heart opened up. I'm grateful for the opportunity and I hope that newcomers will warm up faster and approach them first.
It operates every Saturday from 3 PM to 7:15 PM. We charge a monthly fee of $40 to ensure the provision of high-quality programs, meals, and to encourage ongoing participation.
Yes, we do accept friends with both physical and developmental disabilities.
We do not have an age limit; our students' ages range from 20 to 50.
Class starts at 3 PM and wraps up at 7:15 PM, but we'd appreciate it if volunteers could stick around for an extra 15 minutes for cleanup.
